What is your favorite correlation on the slate and why?
Notorious: + Mark Andrews – I will have plenty of SEA/ARI stacks this week, but my favorite correlation is Jackson to Andrews. We haven’t seen the air raid that was promised to us when the Ravens brought in Todd Monken, but Jackson continues to be one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the league. His rushing prop is well over 50 yards this week, and he has averaged double-digit rushing attempts since the injury. The Lions have a good defense as a whole, but they do not defend tight ends well. They have allowed the 3rd-most receptions and the 4th-most receiving yards to the position this season. You can bring this stack back with on FD or Amon-Ra St. Brown on DK.
squirrelpatrol: Cleveland QB + + – The Browns have significant injury questions on offense this week, but that could lead to muted ownership in a relatively good game environment. The Colts have allowed the 7th-most yards per game and the 9th-most points per game, and this game will be played indoors without weather concerns. The Browns’ 21.75 implied point total is actually above the midpoint on the slate, and their players are all attractively priced. is questionable for the game, but I’d play either him or , and should get only more value if (questionable) misses the game.
Krayton: + and/or – The Seahawks are in one of their best matchups of the season as Geno gets to face Arizona, who is 31st in pass DVOA. The Seahawks also grade out in the top 10 for seven out of eight offensive categories, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF). They are 4th overall on PFF for Pass Routes, which lines up great for both Metcalf and Lockett. I will also be including in some of my Geno lineups to try to capture as much of the Seattle offense as I can. Arizona does not have any cornerbacks that can match up with Metcalf and Lockett, and they both grade out as good plays when looking at WR/CB matchups this week.
ebeimfohr: + – We have a game with two mediocre defenses and two target hogs at WR, and we’ll never get one of them at this price again. Diontae has been full practice this week in his return from the IR, and the Steelers need him in the worst way. With the Rams’ RB issues, they should take to the air frequently, and that should lead to a slate-breaking level of targets for Kupp. If they can put some points on the board, it can drive the Steelers to the air, which will lead to a ton of targets for Diontae against a Rams pass defense that can be vulnerable.
Stevietpfl: + – Green Bay is coming off a bye week and draws a fantastic matchup against the Denver Broncos. Denver ranks 32nd in DVOA against the pass and allows the 2nd-most passing yards per game. Watson was eased back into action in Week 4 but ran a route on 70.6% of the drop-backs in Week 5. He tied with the highest target rate and was the first read 28.6% of the time. This is one of my favorite combos on this slate, and I plan on being overweight on it. I think you can pair Musgrave if you want to double stack, and I’ll run it back with some Courtland Sutton and teams.
eys819: + Mark Andrews + Amon-Ra St. Brown – The Baltimore pieces are underpriced considering both players could easily be the top scorer at their respective positions. Lamar is priced as QB4 on both sites, and he has more rushing upside than anyone at the position. He has at least 9 rushing attempts in 4 of 6 games and has 4 rushing TDs this season. Andrews is priced as TE2 on both sites but comes at a significant discount to the top option, . On the other side, Detroit is expected to get back from injury but are also expected to be without workhorse RB . It is unlikely they lean on Gibbs for a massive workload in his first game back, which means should be throwing a bunch. St. Brown is his favorite target by a wide margin, with a 27.4% target share.
Bobby Gomes: + + and/or – The Seahawks are -8 against the Cardinals and represent the 3rd-highest implied team total (26.25) in Week 7. The Cardinals are 31st in pass defense DVOA, and Geno projects as a top-5 QB option on the main. Walker has one of the highest raw projections at RB. I’ll be using Metcalf (questionable) and Lockett (questionable) as natural leverage with Walker on different builds. is too cheap again and will be the run-back.
Who’s your top contrarian play on the board (below 10% pOWN%) and why?
Notorious: – Yes, that . We are still waiting to see who will start at quarterback for the Giants, but I’m not sure it matters much. Slayton leads the receivers on this team in snap share, route share, and air yards share. For whatever reason, people are far more excited about Wan’Dale Robinson, who has an extremely low aDOT and limited usage in the redzone. Slayton is the perfect leverage play, and I think the matchup sets up well for him. The Commanders are 27th in pass DVOA and 28th in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. They have struggled with the big play, and Slayton is New York’s only deep threat.
squirrelpatrol: – Barkley could get overlooked at RB with the value plays inevitably gaining popularity at the position, but he got 24 rushing attempts and 5 targets (4 catches) in his first game back from injury and should look even stronger this week. He gets a matchup at home against a Commanders defense that has allowed the 10th-most rushing yards and the 6th-most receiving yards per game, and the Giants’ questionable QB situation could lead to Barkley gaining even more work.
Krayton: Amon-Ra St. Brown – I am not exactly sure where ASB will end up for ownership, but we currently have him at 9% on FD and just slightly over 10% on DK. With expected to be out this weekend, I like ASB even more. He is priced significantly lower than , yet he has the same big upside that Kupp does, getting a ton of targets in the explosive Detroit offense. He already has 3 TDs this season, and with Montgomery out, I expect to see a big ceiling game for ASB.
ebeimfohr: – I won’t keep talking about Diontate Johnson here, so Mayer is next in line. He took over the full-time TE role for Vegas last week, but the market doesn’t seem to be coming on board with that. He played 81% of the snaps and led the Raiders in receiving last week, and now he draws the woeful Bears defense. He was a monster receiving prospect coming out of Notre Dame, and he should be a security blanket for the Raiders without Jimmy G.
Stevietpfl: – Robinson is one of my favorite plays. I’m going to be overweight, and I’m hoping he goes overlooked. The Giants rank 30th in DOVA against the run, and they’ve allowed 147 rushing yards per game, which is the 2nd-most in the NFL this season. Washington still uses both Robinson and , but Robinson should be on the field more if Washington is ahead in this game. The Giants offense continues to struggle, and the Giants defense is bottom-5 overall. I like Washington to get ahead and Robinson to have a big game.
eys819: – He returned from an ankle injury last week and received 20 opportunities. He was not efficient with them, as he averaged less than 2 yards per carry. He gets a tough matchup again this week against KC, but it is also the best game environment on the slate, with a total 3 points higher than any other game. Ekeler has proven to be matchup-proof in the past, and he is certainly game-script proof with his huge passing game role. I think he is in line for 25+ touches in this spot, and the efficiency should improve with another week removed from his injury.
Bobby Gomes: – Adams was quoted this week as saying, “I’m not just here to hang out.” I’d say it is a pretty good week to get on the DA train. The Bears have the 29th-ranked pass defense, allowing 267.3 passing yards per game. We currently have Adams at single-digit pOWN%. Despite the instability at QB and the sudden emergence of commanding targets, Adams has as high of a ceiling as any player on the slate.
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play this week? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I play almost exclusively in single-entry and three-max tournaments. My plan of attack this week is to get exposure to the Seahawks in every lineup. This means starting with or . In the non-Geno lineups, I will be loading up on and his pass catchers. It looks like the field is gravitating toward the cheap running backs, but I’m not sold on , , and . I prefer using the more reliable running backs and think this week sets up well to use a wide receiver in the flex/utility spot.
squirrelpatrol: Large-field 150-max contests – With only 10 games on the slate and low totals across the board, it seems like the kind of slate where we should cross some games off the list entirely. However, some of these lower point total games have a wide range of outcomes and could see very low ownership in large-field contests as ownership inevitably consolidates. The LV/CHI, WAS/NYG, and CLE/IND games, in particular, have interesting pieces on offense, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they end up with single-digit point totals or as the highest-scoring games on the slate. I’ll be aiming to be over the field on those games in a correlated manner.
Krayton: I am a single-entry player, and that will once again be my focus this week. I also focus on the 3-entry-max contests, as I like to key in on 3-5 lineups each week. I have a lot of interest in the SEA/ARI game and will be very overweight on , , , and . I will have exposure to that game in each of my main lineups. I do want exposure to the LAC/KC game, and I will look to get , , and mixed into my builds. On FanDuel in particular, I am going to utilize , as he has GPP-winning upside, and DFS players are scared to play him since he’s been splitting carries with . I want to utilize him early before he’s back to being an expensive RB like he was last season. They didn’t pay him a big contract not to utilize him as a major component of their offense.
ebeimfohr: I am almost always a single-entry / smaller-field type of player, but I think this is a great week for that format. With a bunch of teams on bye and star-studded offenses off the slate, we can continue to lean into some cheap stacks (e.g., + ) to jam some of the highest projected studs around them with some minor leverage plays to get a big edge on the field.
Stevietpfl: I’m going to be focusing on 3-entry-max and single-entry contests this weekend. I want to have a tight core around the few game stacks that I like. We have some potential slow-paced games with low totals. I want to focus on key pieces from those games and get some potential lower-owned plays to pair with the higher-owned game stacks. I will be underweight on , , and , which should help my overall ownership.
eys819: Large-field, 20-entry max – I want to build my core of players around game stacks of DET/BAL, ARI/SEA, LAC/KC, and GB/DEN. I will correlate my QB with at least one pass catcher and one opponent from those games. I will also have a secondary correlation of two players from another one of those games. Players I will have a large overweight stance on outside of those games include , , , , , , and .
Bobby Gomes: My preferred method of tournament typically is MME so that I can have exposure to the good plays across my lineups. Typically, I will be stacking a QB-RB, QB-WR, or QB-TE with a run-back. I will be keeping an eye on pOWN% and getting “different” but not foolishly contrarian. I will try to determine who the “best” plays are using our projections and optimizer. My groups & player pool should be set, so that if there are any drastic injuries/changes, I don’t have to go nuts adjusting. The main slate this week is only 10 games, so my player pool will be condensed a bit. I want to avoid having some of the chalk together. I will be overweight on the Seattle offense with , , , and . Walker will be chalky and is a strong play, but Metcalf and Lockett are both coming in far less owned. will be my run-back, as the Seahawks are favorites, and the script favors his usage in the air.
What is your hot take of the slate?
Notorious: torches the Broncos for 150+ yards and a touchdown.
squirrelpatrol: and combine for 20 receptions and 300 yards.
Krayton: Even though it’s a tough matchup against Cleveland, takes control of the backfield for the Colts and rushes for 150 yards and 2 TDs.
ebeimfohr: and combine for 25 catches.
Stevietpfl: explodes for 100+ yards with 10+ catches and 2 touchdowns.
eys819: goes for 150+ scrimmage yards and 3 touchdowns.
Bobby Gomes: rushes for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Colts.

You can bring this stack back with Jahmyr Gibbs on FD or Amon-Ra St. Brown on DK.
squirrelpatrol: Cleveland QB + Amari Cooper + Jerome Ford – The Browns have significant injury questions on offense this week, but that could lead to muted ownership in a relatively good game environment. The Colts have allowed the 7th-most yards per game and the 9th-most points per game in the NFL, and this game will be played indoors without weather concerns. Deshaun Watson is questionable for the game but I’d play either him or P.J. Walker, and Jerome Ford should get only more value if Kareem Hunt (Questionable) misses the game.
Krayton: Geno Smith + DK Metcalf and/or Tyler Lockett – The Seahawks are in one of their best matchups of the season as Geno gets to face Arizona, who is 31st in pass DVOA. I think you can pair Musgrave if you want to double stack, and I’ll run it back with some Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy teams.
eys819: Lamar Jackson + Mark Andrews + Amon-Ra St. Brown – The Baltimore pieces are underpriced considering both players could easily be the top scorer at their respective position. Lamar is priced as QB4 on both sites and he has more rushing upside than anyone at the position. He has at least nine attempts in four of six games and has four rushing TDs this season.
