Horizon Forbidden West Multiplayer & Co-Op Explained
Unfortunately, at the time of writing this article, Guerilla Games have not confirmed if Horizon Forbidden West will include online multiplayer or local co-op.
Although it’s possible that the features could be included in the future, it’s highly unlikely that they will be available at launch as the PlayStation Store Page for the game states ‘Offline Play Enabled’ and ‘1 Player’. If any multiplayer aspects were planned for launch, it would be stated on the official store page.
It’s likely that the developers were still unable to include some form of co-op due to hardware limitations on the PlayStation 4. Exactly why a multiplayer mode hasn’t been considered is unknown.
Should Guerilla Games ever make an official announcement surrounding multiplayer or co-op in Forbidden West, we’ll be sure to update this article.
