Friday the 13th has rolled around again, and everyone is dreading it more than ever.

In Western superstition, Friday the 13th is a day of bad luck and misfortune, and thanks to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, people are convinced something extra bad will happen this year.

It’s difficult to pinpoint the exact origin of the superstition, but it descends from something called paraskevidekatriaphobia, which is an irrational fear of the number thirteen.
