The Maiden Voyage of the Ship Titanic Is Widely Regarded as One of the Most Heartbreaking Tragedies Outside of Wartime. It Sank into the Ocean in the Early Hours of April 15Th 1912, Resulting in the Deaths of over 1,500 of an Estimated 2,224 People Onboard the Vessel. James Cameron’s Romantic Disaster Epic in 1997 Revived Mainstream Interest in the Tragedy, but There Was a Musical That Debuted the Same Year Exploring the Sinking Too.
