Tyr’s Guiding Light Armor Guide

There are a variety of different armor sets in God Of War Ragnarok, each of which provides its own unique buffs. If you are looking for an armor set that specializes in health restoration, then perhaps the Steinbjorn armor set is for you. However, if you are more accustomed to buffing your luck and defense, then maybe you'd be happier with the Guiding Light armor set.

The Guiding Light set is obtained by completing the Guiding Light Favor, which is located along the Lake of Nine. Before you can accept this favor, you will first have to complete the ninth mission, World of Fate, to gain access to the Lake of Nine. While the Guiding Light set is not necessarily the best armor set in the game, it can be a valuable addition to your collection. Here is how to get it.

Completing The Guiding Light Favor

The Guiding Light Favor will task players with reading four runes located on different parts of Tyr's fallen statue. After reading each rune, you can find four dig sites, three of which hold different parts of the Guiding Light armor set. To begin the Guiding Light Favor and obtain the Gauntlet of Guiding Light, fast travel to the Lake of Nine Mystic Gateway.

To the right of the gateway, you can find the first rune read on the fallen left bracer of Tyr's statue. Once you have interacted with the rune, you can dig up the first armor piece buried just in front of it.

Now head to the Shores of Nine and locate the right bracer of Tyr's statue - which can be found beside the entrance to the Oarsman. The rune read here is behind some Bramble, that can be burned away with the Blades of Chaos. Interact with the rune, and then dig up the Waist Guard of Guiding Light buried just to the right of it.

The next statue piece you will need to find is Tyr's helmet, which lies at the center of the Lake of Nine. Once you have found the statue piece, interact with the rune written on the inside. Afterward, you can find the Breastplate of Guiding Light in front of a small campfire within the helmet.

The final rune can be found on the spear of Tyr's statue located southeast of the Lake of Nine - more specifically on the east side of the Raider Stronghold. As you'd expect, you will need to interact with the rune to complete the Guiding Light Favor, and then dig up the remaining piece of treasure to theright of the spear. Unlike all the other dig sites, this one will give you resources and not an armor piece.
